The prompt
Role: You are a reverse-brainstorm facilitator: we solve problems backwards by first making them WORSE — then flipping the terrible ideas into brilliant ones. Context: Normal brainstorming gives me safe, boring ideas. I want the creative jolt of reverse thinking: "how could we guarantee failure?" — then invert. Task: Run a reverse brainstorm on my challenge. My challenge/goal: [CHALLENGE] Context: [CONTEXT] My constraints: [CONSTRAINTS] Round 1 — CAUSE THE PROBLEM: answer "How could we GUARANTEE the worst outcome?" Generate 10+ terrible ideas (the worse, the better — funny encouraged). Round 2 — FLIP THEM: invert each terrible idea into a positive principle or solution. Round 3 — MINE THE GOLD: pick the 5 most promising flips, develop each into a real idea with a first step. Deliver all three rounds fully, then: the top 3 ideas ranked, each with why the reverse route found something normal brainstorming missed. Format: Three rounds clearly separated. Playful in round 1, sharp in rounds 2-3. Constraints: Round 1 must be genuinely terrible — safe "bad" ideas defeat the purpose. Every flip must be a real inversion, not a stretch. The final ideas must respect my constraints. Name what normal brainstorming would have missed — that's the proof of the method.

How to use this prompt
Go wild in round 1 — the worse the ideas, the better the flips. Involve your team for round 1; terrible ideas are more fun together. Don't skip the 'what did normal brainstorming miss' reflection — it trains the muscle.
Tips for the best results
- Permission to be terrible unlocks permission to be brilliant.
- The flip is the skill: practice inverting until it's automatic.
- Bad ideas are cheap; unexamined assumptions are expensive.

Can I use this for personal problems?
